The purpose of this Cultural Paper Doll is to educate you, the participant, about cultural appropriation. The theme of this is cheeky and fun but sheds light on a serious issue. Cultural Appropriation has been taking place for decades, but public knowledge on the issue has only become relevant within the past decade. Below, you will directed to AORTA, The Anti-Oppression Resource and Training Alliance, who are "devoted to strengthening movements for social justice and a solidarity economy." and they do so through the lens of "an intersectional approach to liberation."

I hope this activity was fun and but more importantly I hope it has allowed you a better understanding of cultural appropriation and how to avoid it.
